The 2025 Mustang GTD has quickly risen to prominence as the most powerful and fastest Mustang ever created by Ford. With an astounding 815 horsepower, 664 lb-ft of torque, and a top speed of 202 mph, it redefines what a street-legal Mustang can achieve.
High-Performance Engineering
The Mustang GTD comes packed with advanced features that are designed for ultimate performance. It includes active aerodynamics, carbon-ceramic brakes, and an inboard-rear suspension with semi-active dampers—all contributing to its goal of a sub-seven-minute lap at the Nürburgring. These innovations, paired with the car’s immense power, establish the GTD as a true performance powerhouse.

Revolutionary Engine and Design
The Mustang GTD features a 5.2-liter supercharged V8 engine that represents a significant advancement over previous Mustang engines. It includes a dry-sump oil system, which ensures consistent lubrication even during high-speed cornering—this is a first for any Mustang. This system allows the engine to reach up to 7,650 RPM, an increase of 100 RPM over earlier models. Other key improvements, such as a refined intake and exhaust, a titanium exhaust as standard, and a smaller supercharger pulley, contribute to the GTD’s extraordinary performance.
Aerodynamic Enhancements for Speed
To hit its top speed of 202 mph, the Mustang GTD uses a Drag Reduction System (DRS) that adjusts the rear wing angle and controls flaps beneath the front of the car. This technology dynamically optimizes airflow for either maximum speed or downforce, depending on driving conditions.
